PRIVACY POLICY Confidentiality and Privacy Policy The law protects the relationship between a client and his/her psychotherapist. Thus Information cannot be disclosed without client’s permission. However, there are exceptions: • If client intends to do self-harm and does not respond to therapeutic intervention that ensures safety, requisite lawful measures will be taken exclusive of client’s consent. • Suspected child abuse, dependent adult abuse, elder abuse, must be reported to appropriate authorities. • If client is threatening serious bodily harm to others - the police and intended victim(s) must be notified.
